January 24 Meeting

Is it safe to go in the water? The red wave that (thank goodness) didn’t happen!

Please join us Tuesday January 24 for our first meeting of the new year! Our speaker will be the Honorable Howard Wayne, former California state assembly member. Howard will give us his insight into the election and what we can expect in the near future.

We meet on zoom, please message us if you need the link. Our meeting begins at 7:00 p.m., however, we open zoom at 6:30 p.m. for social interaction. Hope you can join us!

November 22 Special Meeting

We are usually dark in November because of Thanksgiving, but we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to host a very special guest, Mayor Todd Gloria.

We meet on zoom, and we open at 6:30 p.m. for a half hour social, and our meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. Please send us a message if you need the zoom link. Invite a friend !

October 25 Program

Please join us Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. (6:30 p.m. for social). Our guest speaker will be County Supervisor Nathan Fletcher. Supervisor Fletcher will advise on what has been happening at the county. There will be time for questions!

We meet on Zoom. Please send a message if you need the zoom link at least one hour prior to the meeting start time.

September 27 Program

Please join us Tuesday, September 27 virtually on Zoom. Our guest speaker will be Jeff Burdick, Editor, SactoPolitico.com. Have you heard about the consensus Beltway view that Republicans are destined to take back congress this November? Jeff will be discussing Sacto Politico’s analysis “Predictably Red Wave Forcasts Collapse” which shows this is resting on very flawed assumptions and methodology.

August 23 Program

Please join us August 23 on zoom! Our guest speakers will be:

Dr. Shirley Weber, California’s Secretary of State, who will speak to us about the November elections. Dr. Weber helped establish the Department of African Studies at SDSU, served on the San Diego Board of Education, and was elected to the State Assembly before being appointed as Secretary of State by Gov. Newsom.

With gun violence out of control, we think it’s important to address what can be done so that no more children are killed by illegal guns. Carl Bogus, Distinguished Professor of Law at Roger Williams University, will discuss the Supreme Court’s interpretation of the Second Amendment. We’ll also be joined by Ron Marcus, President of San Diegans for Gun Violence Prevention.
