Masada Disenhouse, co-founder and steering committee member of San Diego 350 will share about one of the biggest environmental issues of our time, how do deal with climate change and the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  San Diego 350 has worked to stop the Keystone Pipelaine, to have a ban or moratorium on fracking and has advocated for a strong Climate Action Plan for San Diego.
Carol Kim for City Council!
Carol Kim has made the general election run-off for the City Council Sixth District and she will be invited to brief us on how we can help her win in the November run-off. She might join us at this June meeting. 
Gerry Senda will be back to lead our discussion on possible bylaw changes. More bylaws revisions will be suggested by the bylaws committee and voting will take place.  Bring your opinions!

Bill Irvine nominated to head up Program Committee
Bill has accepted club president, Sharon Keith’s invitation to head up a new program committee.  Bill attended the June Executive Committee and got a list of possible programs suggested by executive committee members.
The Uptown Democratic Club membership now stands at 67. Bring a guest to our June meeting and then ask them to join the club!  Help us break the 70 member barrier!
